Jeremy Richardson’s name did not appear on social media for the first time. Because the Blackfoot Thornton headteacher had previously spoken in media after a 15-year-old kid was stabbed.
The student was stabbed in the shoulder at Beckfoot Thornton in Leaventhorpe Lane in 2019. He was rushed to the hospital; however, the injuries were not life-threatening. A boy of a similar age was detained after they discovered the weapon (knife) as well, as per BBC.
According to West Yorkshire Police, the boy’s parents were summoned to the school. The headteacher had announced that they take care of their children’s safety first. Other children were found fine, and some parents asked that some strict measures should be taken to monitor children’s activities.

He was a former Department for Education advisor and Ofsted inspector. In October 2016, the school became a member of the Beckfoot Trust. Founded in 2013, the Beckfoot Trust is a cross-phase Multi Academy Trust. Through the Local School’s Committee, the Beckfoot Trust, staff, students, and parents also provide strong support for the school.
In April 2017, he was temporarily appointed as Beckfoot Thornton School’s headteacher. Two years later, he was named executive headteacher.
Rob Browning, the former head of Beckfoot Thornton, stepped down due to “family responsibilities,” and he replaced him.
