Police in southeast Georgia arrested a 17-year-old boy they found hiding under a 12-year-old girl’s bed.
The Statesboro Police Department said that the girl’s mother notified them that the boy had arranged to sneak into her daughter’s room Wednesday afternoon and that the two may hae had inappropriate contact.
Police arrived at the home while the mother and her daughter drove to the police department, WSAV reported. The officers found Christopher Grant under the girl’s bed and detained him.
Grant was in possession of handgun with the serial number obliterated, they said. Detectives interviewed Grant and the victim before booking the teen into the Bulloch County Jail on charges of aggraated child molestation, sodomy, possession of an item with an altered serial numer, possession of a handgun by a person under 18, and criminal trespass, WTOC said.
