Three people were found dead in a Pennsylvania home on Monday after a standoff that ended with one person in custody.
Northampton Township police responded to a call for a wellness check shortly after 2 p.m. on Monday, WHP reported, and were confronted by a man wielding a knife.
The officers retreated and called in the South Central Emergency Response Team, which managed to take the man into custody. Inside, they found three dead people.
Police confirmed the three dead but provided no further information.
Neighbors told PhillyBurbs.com that an older couple lived in the home with their son. They said the couple also had a daughter, who they believed was at the home because her car was parked out front.
Property records show that the family had been longtime members of the community, living there since 1970.
