A 64-year-old California woman has been jailed after she allegedly beat and stabbed her 90-year-old father to death.
Visalia police found Don Weerasinghe unconscious and bleeding from the head when they arrived at the home. He was taken to Kawweah Health Medical Center in critical condition but later died.
Victoria Roberts was arrested at the scene and charged with aggravated assault, according to jail records. Police said she would be charged with homicide.
Police said she assaulted her father with a vase and other objects before stabbing him.
The incident took place on Tuesday in the evening. It’s not clear who called 911.
