A California man was arrested for murder on Wednesday after the bodies of his mother and half brother were found “in advanaced stages of decomposition” at their home.

Antioch Police said they were called to the scene for a welfare check and encountered a male suspect trying to leave the house.

KTVU identified the suspect as 46-year-old Mark Taylor, who is being held without bond, according to jail records.

Police have not identified the victims or said how they died. They also did not say how long the pair had been dead.

According to the Los Angeles Times, all three reportedly lived at the home. According to the Contra Costa News, the mother was 65 and the half brother was 39.
