A Wisconsin couple found dead in a car last month in Illinois died in a murder-suicide.
The McHenry County Coroner’s Office said Brandon Dumovich, 30, shot 29-year-old Rachel Dumovich in the head and then shot himself, WIFR reported.
The couple was just days away from their first wedding anniversary when they were found in their car in Harvard, Illinois, on October 6, as CrimeOnline reported. The vehicle was on US Highway 14 in a residential section of the town, with Rachel Dumovich was in the driver’s seat and her husband was in the passenger seat.
A gun was found in the vehicle.
Hours before her husband killed her, Rachel posted on Facebook, reportedly about their honeymoon, saying, “Forever chasing sunsets. Wishing we were back in Greece.”
According to his Facebook page, Brandon Dumovich’s birthday was October 5, the day before the bodies were found. The couple’s anniversary would have been on October 12. Rachel’s Facebook profile picture was also posted on October 6.
The couple’s social media pages say they were originally from Crystal Lake, Illinois, but were living in Sharon, Wisconsin, just across the state line from Harvard.
