Celeste Rivas Investigation: D4vd’s Associate Calls for Justice in Teen Girl’s Unsolved Death

D4vd’s former friend Neo Langston, who appeared for questioning last month in front of a Los Angeles grand jury, says the focus should not be on him amid the Celeste Rivas investigation.

According to TMZ, Langston, a prominent streamer, stated on Instagram Sunday that the case should be focused on “justice for the victim,” Celeste, who died a day shy of her 15th birthday last year.

Despite this, sources also told TMZ that Langston is considered an “important witness” in the case.

“I told so many people that I trust and I thought knew me as a person my side of things, all for that to be thrown out the fkin window as soon as I get arrested and they slap that di**heads name next to mine,” Neo posted on Instagram.

After his posts, Langston reportedly unfollowed Burke and deleted his account.

“[Neo] played no part in this heinous crime and he … continues to be wrongfully persecuted in the court of public opinion,” Langston’s lawyer told TMZ.

No one has been arrested in the case. However, D4vd, also known as David Anthony Burke, will likely face grand jury questioning himself, along with his family.

Unsealed court documents obtained by The Associated Press stated Burke “may be involved in having committed the following criminal offenses against the laws of the State of California, to wit: One count of Murder.”

As CrimeOnline previously reported, Los Angeles police found Celeste’s remains on September 8, inside the trunk of Burke’s Tesla. The vehicle had initially been parked near his rental home, in the Hollywood Hills Bird Streets neighborhood.

Officers with LAPD found the vehicle at a tow yard in Hollywood after residents in Hollywood Hills contacted police about an abandoned car with a Texas license plate on September 6.

An investigative grand jury subsequently began proceedings in November 2025. Police arrested Langston in January, after he failed to show up for questioning.

“And for the record, the thing I was arrested for I wasn’t even charged. They never filed it and my warrant was retracted because there is more to the story then what’s on the news,” he claimed on Instagram.

Meanwhile, the investigation continues.

The unsealed documents indicated that authorities found two bags containing body parts found in Burke’s vehicle.

The Tesla trunk and a cadaver bag were “covered with insects and a strong odor of decay.

“Upon removing the cadaver bag from the front storage compartment, it was discovered the arms and legs had been severed from the body,” the document stated.

A second black bag was discovered underneath the cadaver bag. Upon opening the second bag, the dismembered body parts were discovered.”

The District Attorney’s Office formally declined to comment on the ongoing grand jury proceedings.
