According to a retired homicide investigator, convicted killer Bryan Kohberger is attempting to establish communication with other high-profile serial killers across the country.
Chris McDonough, a retired detective and the current director of the Cold Case Foundation, relayed information to FOX News Digital, regarding what Kohberger has been up to while housed at the Idaho Maximum Security Institution in Kuna.
McDonough said that Kohberger is actively looking to connect with infamous criminals, “both inside and outside” the prison system.
“He’s tried reaching out to other serial killers, but I don’t know whether any relationships have formed,” McDonough told Fox News Digital. “Both inside and outside—he’s trying to communicate with people outside the walls.”
Kohberger’s search for a connection with other serial killers comes amid a reported rocky adjustment to prison life. He has had several complaints regarding the quality of prison food and is receiving taunts from other prisoners.
McDonough’s sources suggested that Kohberger “sees himself above everyone around him,” viewing the general inmate population as inferior.
As CrimeOnline previously reported, Kohberger avoided the death penalty when he agreed to plead guilty to the murders of Xana Kernodle, Ethan Chapin, Madison Mogen, and Kaylee Goncalves, along with one count of burglary.
He was sentenced to four consecutive life terms plus 10 years with no chance at parole.
