A Georgia man is facing murder charges following a fatal attack in October, at a Walmart store near Savannah.
Police arrested 48-year-old Delano Middleton on Thursday for an October 23 confrontation at a Walmart on Whitemarsh Island, around eight miles east of Savannah, according to the Chatham County Police Department.
Police said 18-year-old J.T. Schroeder kicked Middleton’s shopping cart as Middleton walked by; the encounter escalated and Middleton allegedly stabbed Schroeder multiple times.
Paramedics took Schroeder to a hospital, where he died the next day, WTOC 11 reports.
Police reportedly interviewed multiple people at the scene.
WJCL reports that Middleton has a criminal history, with previous arrests on aggravated assault, battery, and weapons charges.
Meanwhile, police said they will not be releasing additional information regarding the case at this time.
