Developing: Human Remains Identified as Maine Woman Who Vanished Months Ago

Human remains found in Maine have been identified as a woman who has not been seen since July.

According to ABC 13, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner stated that the remains were of Tomis Hoyt, 36. The cause and manner of death are pending, according to CBS 13.

Hoyt, of the Presque Isle area, was last seen on July 13, on Robinson Road in Mars Hill, according to the Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office.

Police said she may have been barefoot and without money when she disappeared.
