Former Daycare Worker Pleads Guilty to Kicking Toddlers More Than 100 Times

A former Texas daycare worker pleaded guilty Tuesday to abusing children in her care that was caught on surveillance video.

Catherine Elizabeth Guziejka pleaded guilty to six counts of injury to a child, KLTV reported. A date for sentencing has not yet been set, but her attorneys asked for 10 years for each count, to be served concurrently.

An arrest affidavit said that Guziejka was seen in security footage kicking toddlers in more than 100 incidents dating back to July 2024.

The investigation began when a coworker at Punkin’ Doodles Day Care in Lindale reviewed security footage and saw Guziejka kick a 2-year-old boy in the small of the back. The coworker reported the incident to the boy’s father, who contacted police.

A deputy then reviewed the security footage and soon saw multiple, similar incidents. in each one, Guziejka was seen delivering a swift kick to the back, prompting the toddler to cry out in pain.
