Gerhardt Konig Trial WATCH LIVE: DR Tries to Push Wife 700 Feet from O‘ahu Cliff During Birthday Hike

Gerhardt Konig, a former anesthesiologist accused of trying to kill his wife on the Pali Puka hiking trail in Honolulu County, is on trial for attempted murder and assault.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, Konig, 47, is facing charges in connection with the March 24, 2025, incident, involving his then-wife, Arielle Konig.

He’s accused of beating Arielle in the face with a rock multiple times and trying to push her 700 feet from a cliff’s edge.

The defense is arguing that he acted in self-defense, claiming Arielle became infuriated when he accused her of a supposed affair.

Konig has pleaded not guilty.
