Long Island Man Who Tortured ‘Friend’ for 6 Hours Until He Died Learns Fate

A 44-year-old Long Island man was sentenced Thursday to life in prison without parole for torturing and killing his long-time friend, 43-year-old Christopher Hahn.

Jeremy Allen was convicted of murder and tampering with physical evidence in January, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office said.

“Christopher Hahn deserved better than to have his life violently taken by someone he once trusted,” said District Attorney Raymond Tierney. “For torture such as occurred here, a life sentence without parole is the only appropriate sentence.”

Evidence present at Allen’s trial showed that the pair, who had been friends since high school, spent the night at a bar on September 27, 2024, then headed to Allen’s home in East Quogue. Short after midnight, the district attorney’s office said, Allen “brutally beat” Hahn for nearly 20 minutes, with the sounds of the beating captured on Allen’s outside security camera.

Then, the rear security camera showed Allen drag his “bruised and semi-conscious victim onto the rear deck.” Allen left them there, “brutally injured and unable to stand,” then returned and bashed Hahn in the head and body with a baseball bat. Then, he left again, returning with a plastic bag, which he put over Hahn’s head and secured it with a loose knot.

Then he sat in a chair and watched his former friend for nearly 10 minutes before retrieving a large knife and “slowly” stabbing the victim in the neck 10 times. And then, he stood over Hahn and watched him take his last breath.

The entire ordeal lasted six hours. At one point, Law&Crime reported, he was heard telling Hahn, “Die. It’s not so hard. Just die.”

After Hahn died, Allen covered him with a blanket and tried to clean up. He further called his handman to help him clean up, telling him he couldn’t leave the home after he saw the blood and Hahn’s body. Somehow, the handyman persuaded him to let him leave, and the fled the home and called police, who arrested Allen not long after.
