Police in Arizona this week arrested a 25-year-old man on child abuse charges after his girlfriend caught him on camera hitting her toddler in the head.
Bullhead City Police said that Ora Ray Carson II has been charged with child abuse and aggravated assault.
The mother told investigators that she had Carson had been in a relationship for about 2 months and that her 2-year-old daughter “frequently had bruises, scratches and other injuries after she was around Carson.” Suspicious, she set up her cell phone camera to record when she left the room.
The resulting video showed Carson striking the child in the head multiple times. Responding officers found bruises and other injuries on the girl “consistent with physical abuse.”
The little girl was taken to a local hospital and then transported to Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas for further treatment.
