A Michigan woman and her 12-year-old son were reportedly found dead together on Labor Day.

The 41-year-old woman and her son were discovered dead with apparent traumatic injuries in their Hazel Park home. Officials have not disclosed the pair’s names, but stated that they were mother and son, according to the Detroit Free Press.

Hazel Park police said the case is being investigated as a homicide, though there is no threat to the public. A motive remains unclear.
