A Washington woman was arrested on Thursday for allegedly stabbing her 4-year-old son to death.
Seattle police were called to an apartment by the victim’s father, who said the child’s mother was mentioning suicide. Later on in the 911 call, the man was overheard screaming, “she killed him,” according to The Seattle Times.
The father reported seeing his 4-year-old son lying facedown in the bathtub. Officers who responded to the scene found the mother with bloody hands. The mother allegedly stated, “he’s go” and “they made me do it,” as officers handcuffed her.
The Seattle Times reported that police discovered the fully-clothed boy lying in about four inches of bloody water. A kitchen knife was also located in bathroom.
The mother told police that she “sacrificed” her son because he was exhibiting “odd” behavior — which consisted of “licking countertops and jumping around.” She also said her son had autism, KING reported.
After stabbing her son once in the chest, the woman allegedly ran down the hallways screaming that she killed him. She said it took a few minutes for her son to die, and that she filled the bathtub with water to “comfort him,” according to The Seattle Times.
The 45-year-old mother has not been publicly named as she has not been formally charged. She remains jailed on $5 million bail.
