Officials Confirm Remains Found Are Those of Nola Dinkins, Following Mother’s False Abduction Report

Officials have confirmed that the remains found in Maryland are those of the missing 3-year-old Delaware girl.

On Friday, Maryland State Police announced that the remains located in a vacant lot in Maryland are those of Nola Dinkins, according to WBAL-TV.

As previously reported by CrimeOnline, Delaware police issued an AMBER Alert on Tuesday for Nola, following her mother’s report that the child had been kidnapped at gunpoint.

Detectives in New Castle County later discovered that the mother had lied about the abduction, prompting them to reclassify the case as a homicide investigation.

;

Police arrested Nola’s mother, Darrian Randle, 31, and a man identified as Cedrick Antoine Britten, 44.

Randle faces charges that include first- and second-degree murder and first-degree child abuse leading to the death of a minor under 13. Britten is charged with being an accessory to first- and second-degree murder, among other offenses.

Randle is now in custody at the New Castle County Division of Police, awaiting extradition. Britten is being held in Maryland and will be taken to the Cecil County District Court for his initial appearance, according to FOX 39.
