Pennsylvania Dad Charged With Beating Infant Son to Death

A 32-year-old Pennsylvania man has been charged with the beating death of his 2-month-old son.

Pennsylvania State Police said that a 911 call came in just after 2:30 Saturday afternoon reporting the infant wasn’t breathing, WPXI reported. The baby was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

An autopsy determined his cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head. Police said the child had bruising on his head and torso area when they responded to the call.

After interviewing the baby’s mother and father, the father — Vincent Miceli — was charged with criminal homicide, aggravated assault, and endangering the welfare of children. Police said the infant was under his care only during the day on Saturday.

No further information was released.
