Investigators are reviewing a damaged utility box in connection with the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, as the search reaches day 37.
According to KYMA, the damaged box could possibly be connected to outages that occurred around the time the 84-year-old vanished from her Catalina Foothills home in Arizona.
The outages may have disrupted internet services in the area, which could potentially disrupt security cameras.
“It is being reviewed as part of the ongoing investigation. At this time, we do not have any more information to release.” the Pima County Sheriff’s Department said, according to News 4 Tucson.
Last week, investigators were spotted in Guthrie’s neighborhood, asking residents if that had experienced internet issues the night she vanished.
As CrimeOnline previously reported, Nancy was last seen on January 31 after family members dropped her off at home after dinner. They reported her missing the following day after she failed to show up for church.
Some of the homeowners told NBC News that they had internet glitches that night, while other neighbors said agents had asked them for video footage.
While the FBI analyzes technical reports, authorities indicated that they are they are “closer” to a break in the case. The evidence, however, is currently undisclosed.
