Suspect in Florida Murder-Suicide Was Connected With Multi-Million Fraud of Victims

Two men shot at a Florida business on Monday were brothers who owned the business who were killed by a man connected to a multi-million fraud case involving the business.

Boynton Beach Police said that Charles Geragi, 67, and Richard Geragi, 72, were murdered inside their All-American Farms at about 4 p.m., WPTV reported.

The suspect, identified as 39-year-old Nesar Dawla, shot himself after leading police on a brief chase after the shooting.

Police had quickly identified the suspect and located his vehicle, as CrimeOnline reported. Dawla sped away when officers attempted a traffic stop and later crashed.

Police said that officers saw him shoot himself as he was driving, WPTV said.

The Geragis had arranged to meet with Dawla Monday afternoon to discuss the return of money defrauded by Dawla’s brother, Sadman Dawla, who was convicted of defrauding the Geragis of more than $5 million in 2024. At the meeting, Nesar Dawla produced a firearm and shot the Geragis.

Investigators believe that Nesar Dawla was involved in the fraud, but they didn’t find evidence to support charges at the time.

According to WPEC, Sadman Dawla is scheduled to be sentenced on Thursday.
