A Texas woman was arrested early Wednesday morning and charged with the fatal shooting of her boyfriend.
Courtney Renee Hooper, 36, and the 42-year-old victim argued over a call phone and a car that morning, Bexar County Sheriff Julian Salazar said, leading to the fatal shooting. He did not describe the argument.
He said deputies responded to a call around 6:30 a.m. and found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. They tried live-saving measures but were unsuccessful, Salazar said.
Hooper provided deputies with a video she thought would exonerate her, but Salazar said the video “made her seem even more guilty.”
He said deputies have been called multiple times for domestic related calls, but with different men and not the victim.
There were children at the home, he said.
Hooper has been charged with murder.
