A 17-year-old girl with terminal brain cancer has been documenting her final months in a series of gut-wrenching TikTok videos – showcasing everything from her agonizing symptoms and treatments to her bucket list dreams and what she hopes her legacy will be.

Samantha Ann Clark, from Nevada, was diagnosed with a rare type of brain cancer called ependymoma when she was just two years old.

She explained on the video streaming app, where she has racked up more than 106,000 followers and one million likes across her videos, that she has since undergone multiple surgeries to remove various body parts, and has received around 200 rounds of radiation – but Samantha has now been told by doctors that she doesn’t have much longer to live.

Now, she is doing her best to enjoy her final months while battling a slew of horrendous symptoms like trouble breathing, nausea, confusion, irritability, and severe pain all over her body.

‘I forget things, I can’t remember a lot of things. I get confused really easily,’ she told her followers in one video, which was viewed more than 474,000 times.

‘Everywhere where I have a tumor, it aches. My legs, my hands ache, my nerves hurt.’

Samantha recalled finding out that she had a tumor in the left side of her brain at age two after she started suffering from seizures and one side of her body ‘stopped working.’

She received emergency surgery to have it removed – but the disease came back two years later.

Over the next few years, she said doctors continued to treat her cancer but unfortunately, it kept returning.

She received chemotherapy for more than three years – which resulted in her developing hives and blisters all over her bodies.

At one point, she said doctors removed her entire lymphatic channel after discovering the disease had spread to her neck.

She often documents the harsh realities of living with the disease on TikTok, where she has racked up more than 106,000 followers and one million likes

‘It was two, nine-hour surgeries,’ she recalled. ‘They peeled back my face, cut open the left side of my neck and took the rest of my lymph nodes out. It has been a lot.’

After spending years battling the disease, her cancer has now spread to her ‘whole body,’ and she said she doesn’t have much longer to live.

She now has tumors in multiple places – including her skull, jaw, neck, in armpits, and back, which is putting pressure on her lungs.

According to the TikToker, the most difficult aspect is probably her struggle to breathe, as liquid has built up in her lungs – but her insurance won’t cover a scan to figure out what’s going on now that she’s been branded as ‘terminal.’

‘I’m on hospice which means they only cover comfort care. A scan to figure out what’s going on would not be covered by insurance,’ she said in another TikTok. ‘Sometimes it’s hard to stay positive.’

She also revealed in a recent video that they have now found more tumors in the back of her knees, which have left her ‘wheelchair bound.’

Even so, she’s still trying to complete her bucket list, which included doing ‘anything that brings her joy before she passes.’

She recently married the love of her life, a boy named Brayden Gottfried; the two tied the knot on August 6, while surrounded by the close friends and family.

‘Theses past two years have been hard, but one thing that I can always count on is you,’ she wrote in an Instagram post dedicated to Brayden back in January while celebrating their anniversary.

‘You have been here through ups and down staying with me in the hospital, carrying me when I’m to tired to hold myself, holding my hair back while [I’m] sick, and truly loving me unconditionally.

‘You are my best friend, my love, even when you can’t physically be here you make sure I know you are through calling or texting.

‘You’ve shown me what it feels like to fully be loved I couldn’t imagine life without you.’

Samantha often posts ‘day in the life’ type videos to the platform, which detail the harsh realities of living with the disease.

In one video, she explained that she started her morning off by taking a shower – but was discouraged when a lot of her hair fell out during it.

After becoming lightheaded during the shower, she had to sit on the couch with her oxygen mask for a while to recover; she then spent most of the day sleeping.

Other days are slightly better. She said in another TikTok, ‘This is a day in the life of a stage four terminal cancer kid.

‘I woke up in the morning on oxygen, did a breathing treatment, took my morning medication, ate some lunch, which was great.

‘I took a nap after that for about three, almost four, hours. Then I watched some Hulu, took more meds, checked my oxygen and it was crap.

‘Then I took more medication, ate some Applejacks, had some puppy love because that helps everything, took more medication, ate dinner, took my heartrate, which was also crap, threw up said dinner, did a breathing treatment, and watched some Disney+.’

And while it’s certainly hard for the 17-year-old, she said that seeing all the support and positive comments from her followers have helped her immensely.

‘This is how I have dreamt of leaving my mark on the world, by sharing my story with all of you guys,’ she said on TikTok.

‘I want to thank each and every one of you who have been helping me get it out there and who are following along.

‘This is how I want my legacy to be. I’ve always dreamt of people listening to my one-of-a-kind story.’
