Not sure about you, but I’m actually quite looking forward to getting old. No job so lots of free time, a lifetime of savings and wisdom behind you and the freedom to dabble in mind-altering substances because well, you may as well take the time to explore your subconscious mind now, before the dementia kicks in.
So when somebody asks if I’m “feeling old yet,” I don’t see the nostalgia as a bad thing. These funny memes, that have been going around for a few years themselves by now, take a tongue-in-cheek look at aging by comparing your childhood heroes with imagined versions of how they look now. Some of these then and now pictures are hilariously creative, like the melted Ice Cube, while others are astonishingly believable lookalikes. Who knew that Alice Cooper looks remarkably like an older, cooler Steve Carell?
