Aaron Paul and his wife, Lauren, have left Los Angeles for Paris following the devastating wildfires that ravaged swaths of the city.
“When the fires happened in LA, we just knew that we were done with LA, so we sold our house in LA and moved to Paris,” the “Breaking Bad” alum told the Daily Mail at an F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix event on Friday.
“Paris is awesome,” he told the outlet. Aaron, 46, noted that he can only say a few things in French, including “bonjour.”
“We went out there for the kiddos,” Aaron said, referencing kids Story Annabelle, 7, and Ryden Caspian, 3. The actor added that he and Lauren, 38, have “always dreamt of doing a year abroad.”
“We just always wanted to be around a completely different culture,” the actor said.
He told the outlet that the family is considering extending their yearlong sojourn in the City of Lights after enjoying it so much.
The couple — who became engaged in Paris in 2012 and married in a Paris-themed Malibu wedding in 2013 — put their Los Feliz, Los Angeles, home up for sale in July.
According to People, the $10 million-dollar Spanish-style property was previously owned by A-listers including Tim Curry, Robert Pattinson and Jim Parsons, and features a freeform swimming pool, outdoor fireplace, amphitheater and koi pond.
Many of Hollywood’s elite were affected after a series of wildfires ravaged Los Angeles in January — particularly in the Palisades and Eaton regions.
At the time, California’s governor Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency, with over 100,000 Los Angeles residents evacuating their homes.
Among those impacted were Paris Hilton, whose Malibu beachfront property was leveled.
Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, Heidi Klum, Anna Faris, Miles and Keleigh Teller, Anthony Hopkins and Eugene Levy all lost their Pacific Palisades homes, too.
Others, including Britney Spears, were forced to temporarily evacuate their lavish estates amid the chaos.
