The Baltimore Ravens now have one of the NFL’s handful of truly game-changing pass rushers thanks to a blockbuster trade for Las Vegas Raiders edge rusher Maxx Crosby, giving up a pair of 1st round picks in an unprecedented move for the franchise.
The feeling around Baltimore has been one of elation since the deal was announced late Friday night, but the 1 thing missing from the whole mix has been Crosby.
So, what did the NFL All-Pro think about the move?
Crosby broke his silence on Saturday afternoon with a 12-minute video posted to his official X account in which he talked about the process that led to him leaving Las Vegas and his feelings on coming to the Ravens, where he automatically turns the team into not just a Super Bowl contender but one of the favorites to win it all.
“It’s a new day,” Crosby said. “I’m going to Baltimore. Flock Nation, everybody in the whole city of Baltimore, I’ve got a lot to learn. I’ll attack it head-on like I do anything else, but everything is going to be new to me. To the fans there, I’m not going to sit here and make a bunch of grand predictions or anything of that nature. I’m going there with 1 purpose, and that’s to help ultimately to get this team where it needs to be and where everybody wants to go, and that’s winning a Super Bowl. And I know that’s going to be very difficult and there’s no guarantee in that, but I’m going to give everything in my heart and soul to bring a championship to Baltimore … no more words needed for that. I’m going to lead by action. Lead fully … I want to get to that pinnacle.”
