Andrew Scott has been branded Ant and Dec’s doppelgänger as the TV duo discussed their likeness to the Irish actor.
On the latest episode of their Hanging Out podcast, Dec, 50, showed Ant a snap of him posing with the Sherlock star at a photoshoot from a number of years ago.
In the snap, Andrew has a striking resemblance to Ant, 50, though also looks like both Geordie presenters morphed into one.
Dad-of-two Dec started the hilarious discussion off by asking his best pal: ‘Did we both meet Andrew Scott?’
Ant was immediately puzzled as he revealed he wasn’t at the shoot – a rare occurrence for the stars.
He replied: ‘I don’t know where I was. Maybe you should answer that. I didn’t take that picture, but that’s just rude.

Ant continued: ‘He looks like the pair of us combined, so I was involved in this, but I wasn’t involved in the photo and I wasn’t involved in the chat.’
Two years ago an X user sparked uproar from tickled fans of Ant and Dec when he drew comparisons between them and Andrew.
The user shared a snap of Andrew and wrote: ‘Someone said Andrew Scott looks like Ant and Dec and I can’t unsee it’.
An accompanying image showed Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly – leading to fans agreeing with the statement.
Instagram users replied to the post writing: ‘I can’t unsee this… I knew there was something I couldn’t put my finger on… Well this changes things…
‘I don’t know who this is but they are not wrong… Anton Dec… He is like an uncanny amalgamation of the two… The simulations broken.’

Andrew beamed on the red carpet in the initial image which was being likened to a backdated snap of the beloved TV duo.
The tweet was shared at the time by an account with the handle Tom Reagan’s Hat, before a screenshot was posted on The Archbishop Of Banterbury.
Meanwhile, Ant has recently quit the hustle and bustle of London for leafy Surrey as he cashes out on a mega mansion.
The Mail on Sunday revealed he has purchased a vast new-build on an exclusive street for a record price of more than £10million.
It is said his purchase is costing the star more than £1million in stamp duty alone.
While it’s undisclosed which estate Ant has moved to, most of them are located in the north of the county.
This means he will be close to the motorway network, giving him easy access to both London and Gatwick and Heathrow airports – perfect for his presenting gigs.
