America may be seeing a tipsy Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper grace their television screens again this Fourth of July.
In a sight set to resemble their legendary New Year’s Eve specials, the duo will be doing a midnight countdown to America’s birthday this year in Time Square with beer on tap to keep their spirits lifted.
The dynamic duo are infamous for getting drunk every December 31st, and Cohen is looking forward to watching the ‘Vanderbilt boy’ celebrate Independence Day with the everyman’s beverage – beer.
‘We’re gonna be drinking beer, America’s beverage,’ Cohen said at Newport Beach TV Fest when asked how drunk he planned on getting. ‘I’m not sure if the Vanderbilt boy has ever had a beer, so I’m really excited to see that.
‘There’s a ball drop in Times Square on July 3, counting down to the 250th anniversary of the country, and I’m so excited.
‘We’re celebrating the best of America, this country that we all love so much, and it’s going to be really celebratory of the best of America, and I can’t wait.’

‘I was thrilled that they asked me, and I said yes immediately. A summer ball drop with Anderson celebrating America!?’
Every year, fans look forward to watching the long-time friends countdown New Year’s Eve with fun sketches and plenty of alcohol imbibing in between.
The countdown has become must-watch TV but it sparked controversy in 2022 after Cohen went on an apparently booze-fueled rant that included criticism of former New York Mayor Bill de Blasio.
A tipsy Cohen also took at jab at ABC’s rival show, Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest telling viewers ‘If you look behind me, you’ll see Ryan Seacrest’s group of losers performing. I’m sorry but if you’re watching ABC, you’re watching nothing.’
CNN ultimately banned booze during their New Year’s Eve specials but have since lifted it.
‘Give the daddies some juice,’ Cohen told E! News before the ban was reversed.
Cohen was receiving the Variety’s Creative Impact in Television Award during an appearance at the Lido Theater for the Newport TV Fest on Friday.
The cast of RHOC were present for Cohen’s appearance, with Vicki Gunvalson presenting him with the honor.

Emily Simpson, Shannon Beador, Tamra Judge, Gina Kirschenheiter, Jennifer Pedranti were all there as well, although Heather Dubrow was noticeably absent, as was Cohen’s new boyfriend Kevin Sobieski.
After the event, Cohen and the RHOC cast all went to The Quiet Woman in Corona Del Mar to enjoy the rest of their night.
The group had their own table in the restaurant, with staff members doing their best to keep eager fans from bombarding them.
Meanwhile, Cohen’s appearance comes amid a new love in his life.
Cohen finally confirmed on Radio Andy that he has been dating Kevin Sobieski for almost a year, adding that he finally found his ‘person’ in the 42-year-old.
‘I really am happy,’ Cohen gushed. ‘I can’t believe I found this guy. I just cannot believe it. I’m in shock.’
The Watch What Happens Live host also explained that his high dating standards have never wavered and that he was meticulous in his search for the perfect partner.

‘I don’t want to be with the wrong person. I value my time too much. I value my life too much,’ he said.
‘I have great friends and a great life and great kids. My criteria about what I was looking for never changed. It’s always been a feeling for me. I’ve always followed the feeling. I am really happy to say that I met the person.’
The pair met at a party in the Hamptons last year, where Cohen gave Sobieski his phone number after feeling an immediate spark.
Their connection grew rapidly and Cohen eventually introduced the Ivy League graduate to his two children; son Benjamin, seven, and daughter Lucy, four.
‘This man is kind and strong and smart and he is an adult and he loves my children and they love him and I love him,’ Cohen gushed.
‘Introducing him to the kids and just entering him into the equation of my family so slowly, I have to say it has been so easy.’
Their romance managed to remain private until Cohen celebrated his 58th birthday alongside Sobieski this past Tuesday, in a sighting that made headlines.
