Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce announced their engagement on August 26, sending fans into a meltdown worldwide

Australian jewellery brand Michael Hill has released a new ‘dupe’ of Taylor Swift’s engagement ring.

The singer announced her engagement to Chiefs star Travis Kelce on August 26, sending fans into a meltdown.

Her engagement ring is an eight carat Old Mine Brilliant Cut from Kindred Lubeck at Artifex Fine Jewellery. It features a cushion cut bezel-set ring with engraving on the side and is thought to cost as much as $1million.

Now Swifty brides-to-be can don a look inspired by their idol, with the Michael Hill dupe now available in all stores.

There are two options available – an $7,999 version and an $18,999 design.

The lab-grown elongated cushion engagement ring features either a 2ct or 5ct stone and is crafted in 14ct yellow gold.

The team says both rings are designed for ‘timeless sophistication’ and feature a sleep low-set bezel setting supported by four claws.

While the rings received a mixed reception, Taylor fans flooded the Instagram announcement in delight.

‘Swifties are gonna love it,’ one wrote.

‘Love this “swift” marketing response,’ another commented.

‘I’m going to need at least eight carats,’ a third joked.

‘Bezel settings have been a huge trend this year along with a rise in demand for both yellow gold and bold statement gold,’ Claire James, Chief Merchandising Officer of Michael Hill, said.

‘To see that Taylor has opted for a Vintage (Victorian era) bold gold band with low bezel setting and elongated cushion cut is not only on trend, it aligns beautifully to the product we’re already creating at Michael Hill; classic and timeless pieces with a modern twist, inspired by a sense of contemporary nostalgia.

‘Taylor is such a positive source of inspiration globally, and this was a wonderful moment for us to celebrate that, through a ring design which feels both iconic and timeless.’
