Cassidy McGill has vented her frustration about unspoken airport rules, including people not moving their trays along at security and standing too close to others in line

A traveller has vented her frustration about unspoken airport rules, including people not moving their trays along at security and standing too close to others in line.

Cassidy McGill was at the airport going through security when she noticed a man in front of her placing his belongings in a tray – but he didn’t bother moving it along the conveyor belt, holding up the queue.

As he wandered off, a screening officer told him he needed to push his tray along, so he returned to the line – only to put another item he’d found in his pocket into the tray.

Without a second thought, the man walked away again without moving his tray forward, leaving Cassidy furious.

‘Can someone explain to me why every time I’m at the airport, it’s apparently everyone else’s first f***ing time here. I’ve said this so many times… The airport is where common sense comes to die,’ she said in a video.

‘I’m going through security, there’s a man in front of me. He puts his s*** in the tray and then he just leaves it there. He doesn’t push it forward onto the rollers. Then he just walks off and tries to go through security.

‘The security is like, “Oi you need to push your tray.” He comes back, forgets he had something in his pocket, chucks something into his tray and walks off.

‘I’m staring at him and he’s looking at me. I go, “I’m not touching your s***”.’

He then had the audacity to say to Cassidy: ‘You need to push your own tray forward.’

‘Is this your first time here? Is this your first day on Earth?’ Cassidy said furiously.

Another airport gripe she had was strangers standing so close to her in lines that she could feel their breath on the back of her neck.

‘You’re too f***ing close,’ she said.

‘You may not know this but the closer you stand to me, it doesn’t make the line move any faster… It would actually make me move slower.’

The former Love Island Australia star added: ‘I don’t know whether it’s because I’m an anxious flyer and so my patience is wafer-thin so I notice everything, but OMG, people are just f***ing idiots here.’

Her video has been viewed more than 16,500 times, with many agreeing with her.

‘As a frequent flyer, I can confirm it is where common sense dies, in every state no difference,’ one suggested.

‘I am so hyper aware because of my anxiety. Airports send me. It baffles me how people have zero social awareness,’ another shared.

‘It applies to the plane too, people pushing past to get off the plane but not letting the row in front go first… It enrages me,’ one revealed.

‘The pushing in the line to board the plane like the plane’s going to leave in the next five minutes… People rage at the airport is real,’ another added.
