Bluey has become a household name all over the world – but many Aussies are only just discovering a little-known detail about her identity.
The beloved Blue Heeler puppy from the hit Aussie animated show has a middle name that few knew about: Christine.
One loyal fan prompted a discussion in a Bluey fans Facebook group after casually sharing: ‘Since Bluey’s middle name is Christine, what’s Bingo’s?’
The question stopped many in their tracks, with one saying in disbelief, ‘Bluey has a middle name?!’
‘I never knew that was her middle name,’ another said, adding: ‘I have never met anyone in my entire life with the same middle name as me. I love Bluey that much more now.’
‘I didn’t know Bluey’s middle name was Christine. So cute,’ one added.
Fans shared that Bluey’s paternal grandmother is called Chris, which is short for Christine.
‘Oh shoot! I never put that together until just now. Trixie (Bluey’s aunt) refers to Nana as Chris – which we can assume is short for Christine,’ one said, adding she was ‘mind blown’.
As for Bluey’s younger sister Bingo, it’s understood she doesn’t have a middle name.

‘I believe her full name is Bingo ‘Was Her Name-o’ Heeler,’ one joked.
‘Bluey’s middle name is Christine because that’s nana’s name. So Bingo is probably named after their other grandmother,’ another speculated.
However, Bluey’s maternal grandmother has only ever been referred to as ‘Chilli’s mum’ in the show. Chilli is Bluey and Bingo’s mum. It’s been heavily implied in the show that Chilli’s mum died before her kids were born.
‘Christine is Bandit’s mum’s name. So I would guess that Bingo’s middle name is whatever Chilli’s mum’s name is but we don’t know what Chilli’s mum’s name is. But no one has actually said Bingo’s middle name thus far,’ one revealed.
Elsewhere, fans were quick to point out that Bluey’s dad Bandit has the middle name Custard, while her cousin Muffin is Cupcake.
‘Many of the characters have food middle names (and first names), Bluey has a very human middle name, I would think Bingo would also have a human name for a middle name,’ another suggested.

Many quickly shared that Bluey’s middle name Christine was revealed in one of the episodes.
‘I’m more upset it’s a regular name rather than something like Carrot or Cruller. Because you have Muffin Cupcake and Bandit Custard. Christine doesn’t fit,’ one said, laughing.
‘Christine is her grandma’s name but her middle name should’ve been like Cookie or something,’ another joked.
