Rihanna has never played it safe when it comes to baby names and if history repeats itself, her third child with A$AP Rocky will have one of the most unexpected monikers yet.
The superstar mom, who famously revealed her first pregnancy while headlining the 2023 Super Bowl halftime show, has already shocked fans with bold choices for sons RZA, three, and Riot, two.
Both names broke the internet when revealed and according to baby name experts, her next pick will be just as unique.
Professional baby name consultant and TikTok star Colleen Slagen told DailyMail.com exclusively that if she had to bet on Rihanna’s baby girl’s name, her money would be on something ‘edgy, unexpected, and music-inspired.’
‘My top guesses are Rox, Roby, Rio and Rae,’ Slagen said, adding that Rihanna’s real first name, Robyn, could even inspire a play on words. ‘Using Roby or just Ro for a girl as a nod to her own name would be so cool.’
In July, Rihanna herself has confirmed that the first letter is already chosen.

The admission makes it clear the tradition that started with RZA and Riot is set to continue.
Slagen, the author of Naming Bebe: An Interactive Guide to Finding a Baby Name You Love, isn’t the only one predicting bold.
A new VegasInsider study has revealed that Rebel is currently the top contender for Rihanna’s next baby name.
‘Rihanna and A$AP Rocky didn’t go subtle with their first two baby names — RZA, a nod to Wu-Tang Clan, and Riot, a bold, in-your-face choice that fits perfectly in hip-hop culture,’ a spokesperson told the outlet.
‘Both names are short, punchy, and carry serious cultural weight. No surprise, then, that the odds for Baby #3 are starting to center around another name that fits that same mold. Based on a full analysis of Rihanna’s lyrics, we’re talking thousands of words across dozens of tracks, one name keeps showing up with the right mix of edge and meaning: Rebel.’
According to VegasInsider, other names in the mix include Rogue, Ryder, and Royal, but Rebel currently leads both ‘stylistically and statistically.’
When asked which ‘R’ name scream cool, powerful, and maybe a little dangerous, Slagen didn’t hesitate to share her best guesses.

‘Rebel, Rad, Rasta, and Renegade,’ she predicted.
She also believes music will continue to inspire the couple’s choices.
‘I wouldn’t be surprised if they picked a name inspired by A$AP Rocky himself…either a play on his real name (Rakim) or one of his songs.’
And while edgy names may be expected, Slagen says Rihanna could pull from her Caribbean roots, too.
‘Raeni, meaning queen, or Requiem are two R names I could see for them,’ she suggested.

As for classic or traditional names? Don’t hold your breath.
‘Rihanna could flip something traditional, maybe Ricki or Robbie, or even a biblical name like Ruth — but I still think she’ll go unexpected,’ Slagen explained.
Slagen and the VegasInsider data team both agree that Rihanna won’t settle for anything ordinary.
‘I don’t think you will know someone with this name,’ Slagen insisted.
If past choices are any indication, she’s probably right.
Although Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have not confirmed the gender, both have hinted that they are expecting their first girl.
She is due to give birth this fall, sometime between September to November.
