A fierce debate has sparked online in a bid to decipher what a mysterious cookie cutter shape was intended to be – and there have been hilarious suggestions.
The odd shape was posted on the Cookie Cutter Identification Facebook group last week – where people from around the world gather to attempt to pin down strangely shaped cutters.
This particular shape features a number of curved points and angles, with no symmetry at all to give the owner any clue of what it could be.
Posting the cookie cutter on the group, John Thacker said: ‘I just found whatever the f*** this is.’
His post has since gained hundreds of comments, largely from those trying to make sense of the odd shape.

One person guessed it could be a dog, sharing a photograph detailing how the image would fit within the metal borders.
Another guessed it could be a koala, while another mused the most abstract idea of a poodle prima ballerina – all coming complete with an image of how it is possible.
There was another more artistic guess of a grandmother wearing a crocheted wool jumper, a comment which gained dozens of likes itself.
Another commenter said: ‘Maybe it’s the Michelin Man with a squashed head?’

But there were a number of people who came to a consensus with a more sensible guess.

One person made an illustration of the cat inside the cookie cutter, and other people in the group were convinced this is correct.
