The Bengals newest offensive weapon had a lot to say about his quarterback

Rave reviews were in place as this Bengals tight end has never played with a QB like this before.

The Cincinnati Bengals continue to stop at nothing to improve their offense. With another tight end coming to town, Joe Burrow has more weapons than he could have ever dreamed of.

Having weapons is one thing, but making the playoffs is another. That’s something that this seventh-year player has only done once in his career. Now, he’s joining a team with one of the most talented quarterbacks in the league.

Noah Fant Practices With the 1’s and 2’s as he Compliments Joe Burrow

Noah Fant is now playing for the third team of his NFL career. His career comes in threes, as that’s the amount of years he spent on both the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks. Knowing that the Bengals only signed him to a one-year, $2.75 million deal, the 27-year-old will have to impress in order to stay on the team.

The Seahawks decided it was time to move on from Fant after he played in just 14 games last season. Even though he was held out of three games, he still finished with more receptions and receiving yards than he did in 17 games the year prior.

Fant’s ceiling may not be the highest, but he’s a solid addition to the Bengals offense. This is a unit that loves to line up with two tight ends, with Fant slotting right in there alongside Mike Gesicki.

Dan Hoard, the radio voice of the Bengals, included Fant’s comments on his latest post. The Bengals newest signing spoke, “The proof is in the pudding.”

He added, “That’s no slight when it comes to anybody I’ve played with. Joe’s put in the work and he’s a great quarterback.”

A Look at Noah Fant’s Career

Burrow has long been touted as one of the best quarterbacks in the league. He was just ranked higher than Patrick Mahomes in Madden NFL 26. In ESPN’s anonymous poll, he was ranked above Lamar Jackson.

While no one seems to agree on who is the best quarterback in the league, it’s clear Burrow is in the top four. He’s looking to put an end to a two-year playoff drought, one that Fant is experiencing as well.

When he was drafted No. 20 overall in 2019, Fant began his career with three different quarterbacks. Joe Flacco, Drew Lock, and Brandon Allen all started three or more games that season.

In 2020, Lock was the main man in charge. Fant was the Broncos No. 2 receiver in 2019-20 before falling to No. 3 in 2021. That year, Terry Bridgewater took over.

As Fant headed to Seattle in 2022, Lock made his way there in 2023. He only played four games with the Seahawks though as Geno Smith was the main man. Smith’s career resurgence has been fantastic, but there’s still a vast difference between him and Burrow.

Tanner Hudson has continued to impress at tight end. His spot on the roster remains a mystery due to the Fant signing, but he’s given him a run for his money in practice. Even though Fant is out there practicing with the starters, he still has a lot to prove after he was released just a few weeks ago.
