Bre Tiesi recalls 'intense' mental state after Nick Cannon baby

Bre Tiesi dealt with an “intense” postpartum journey after welcoming Nick Cannon’s eighth baby.

“I had no control over my mental state, over my emotions, over my anything. That was intense,” the “Selling Sunset” star recalled on Tuesday’s episode of the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast.

“You can’t stop yourself, and I think that was what makes it so scary. ‘Cause you’re like, ‘What’s wrong with me? Like, nothing’s wrong. Like, I have this beautiful baby. And why am I crying? And I don’t cry. Like, what the hell’s wrong with me?’ Like, you just can’t get it together.”

Tiesi, 32, also shared that she believes society does not prepare women for the realities of childbirth.

“Everyone lies to you about motherhood,” she said.

“They don’t really tell you how hard it is and everything that comes with it and all of that. I think that I thought I’d snap back immediately, mentally, physically, in all ways.”

For the realtor, navigating through her postpartum struggles was even more difficult because she was filming the sixth season of “Selling Sunset.”

“[I felt] the pressures of, like, being on TV and being like, ‘What if I say something that f–king gets me canceled or ruins me or they edit it [poorly]?’” she reflected.

Tiesi was announced as a cast member on the Netflix series just weeks after giving birth to her and Cannon’s first child together, a son named Legendary Love, in June 2022.

Tiesi said filming “Selling Sunset” while recovering from pregnancy was an additional stressor.

The former model shared that she had the support of the “Masked Singer” host, 43, to help her through her rough patch, describing him as a “good man” who “steps up” for their son.

She also attributed working on her fitness and “trying to keep any normalcy” from life before motherhood to helping her stay strong through the emotional journey.

Tiesi recalled on “Not Skinny But Not Fat” that she met Cannon about a decade ago through a mutual friend. She said she was formally introduced to the former Nickelodeon star on his improv comedy show, “Wild ‘N Out,” and they began dating off and on from that point forward.

The former model gushed that Cannon is a “good man” who is involved in their son’s life.

The reality star also revealed that she and the father of 12 had spoken about having a child together for years, but she felt she wasn’t ready until she turned 30.

Tiesi said she is now fully in “mom mode” and loving every second of it.

“I can really focus on my son, and I can focus on my career, and we do our own thing how and when we wanna do it,” she noted. “It works for me.”
