Bringing Up Bates alum Travis Clark has confessed to being unfaithful to Katie Bates, his wife of five years.
Clark, 24, revealed he had an affair in a statement posted to his Instagram Stories – where he admitted to ‘repeatedly’ breaking his wife’s trust.
The admission was made shortly after Bates revealed she had suffered a devastating pregnancy loss.
Clark apologized for the ‘pain, humiliation, and betrayal’ he caused Bates, 25, and took full responsibility for his ‘failure’.
‘This is hard to write, but I owe the truth and I owe an apology,’ Clark began in his lengthy statement.
Over a plain background on his Instagram Story, he admitted: ‘I was unfaithful to my wife. I had an affair and repeatedly broke her trust.’

He added that ‘there is no excuse for what I did’ and said ‘this was my failure and my responsibility alone.’
‘I know that words don’t begin to express the damage I caused or the depth of the hurt I’ve brought into her life, but I am truly sorry,’ he continued.
‘I’m sorry for the pain, humiliation, and betrayal I caused my wife through my choices. I understand that an apology doesn’t repair what I broke, and forgiveness is not something I deserve or can ask for,’ he continued.
‘I am taking responsibility by getting help and doing the work to change and become a more honest and accountable man, regardless of outcome,’ he said.
He concluded his post by asking their fans to give ‘privacy and grace for Katie as she processes this in her own time.’
It’s unclear how the couple stand in light of the revelation and Bates has not yet addressed the admission publicly.
The revelation came a day after Clark’s wife revealed her heartbreaking pregnancy loss.
A heartbreaking video she uploaded showed her learning she was pregnant and happily reveling in the news with her family before suffering the devasting loss.

‘I will spend the rest of my life missing you,’ she captioned the post, which showed her breaking down in tears and mourning their loss.
At one point during the Instagram video, she was lying in a hospital bed and crying as she shared that she ‘just lost my baby.’
The clip began with Bates showing a positive pregnancy test and later purchasing a baby onesie before surprising her husband with the news that they were expecting.

The couple are already parents to daughter Hailey, who will turn three in February, and son Harvey, one.
A voiceover was layered over the video’s various clips and recited, ‘I think I will ask God why for the rest of my life. And never will I come to understand it. Even if God himself came in front of me and told me the reason, I don’t think I would accept it.
‘Some loves are too hard to bear and with great love comes great pain. And with great loss comes the greatest pain of all. If love could’ve saved you, you would’ve lived forever.’
Bates and Clark welcomed their first child, daughter Hailey James, in February 2023.
Their son Harvey Gray followed in September 2024.
Bates is one of nineteen children born to parents Gil and Kelly Bates, and the large family starred on UPtv for 10 seasons between 2015 and 2021.
