Bruno Tonioli, 69, has reportedly 'quit' Britain's Got Talent as a judge after two seasons on the ITV show

Bruno Tonioli has reportedly ‘quit’ Britain’s Got Talent as a judge after two seasons on the ITV show.

It has now been suggested that singer and boxing star KSI is in discussions to take over the position, according to The Sun.

Bruno, 69, who previously judged Strictly Come Dancing, joined BGT in 2023 following David Walliams’ departure.

Despite reported efforts from show boss Simon Cowell, 65, to convince him to remain, conflicting commitments with Bruno’ Dancing With The Stars gig in the US are said to have made it impossible to continue.

A source told the publication: ‘Bruno has officially quit Britain’s Got Talent and they are hoping that KSI will replace him.

‘He absolutely loved being on the panel with Simon, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden but Bruno just can’t juggle his schedule with filming.

‘There is no bad blood and Bruno is leaving with a smile on his face.’

MailOnline has contacted Bruno’s representatives for comment. Sources close to the situation have confirmed the line-up for next year is still purely speculation.

KSI, who stood in on the most recent series as a guest judge, won viewers hearts on the latest series.

Previously addressing chatter about KSI to become a permanent judge, Bruno showed he wasn’t phased.

He said: ‘We’re both young, attractive, multi-talented stars known the world over.

‘Joking aside, I think KSI is fantastic — a real charming man full of energy. We attended the BRITs together too, which was a fabulous evening.’

It was recently revealed how the auditions for the next series of Britain’s Got Talent will take place in just Blackpool, in October.

Viewers saw the show kick off in February this year, with episodes airing each Saturday night, replacing the traditional nightly episodes.

The live semi-finals – which usually air nightly over the course of one week, were also shown on Saturday nights.

During the series, Bruno raised eyebrows after swearing live on air in the final.

Host Declan Donnelly was forced to apologise to ITV viewers after the Italian choreographer uttered the bad language before the 9pm watershed.

The ex-Strictly star was giving feedback after comedian Joseph Charm’s performance when he said: ‘We were just p***ing…’ before quickly correcting himself and apologising.

The incident forced Dec to issue an on-air apology, as he told viewers: ‘Apologies if you were offended by Bruno’s slip of the tongue there.’

The remark was made during a live broadcast, which falls under strict rules preventing swearing before the 9pm watershed.

Bruno who joined the ITV talent show two years ago later clarified that he and the other judges had simply found the act very funny.

Some fans took to X to respond to Bruno’s blue language, with some vowing he should be ‘sacked’ whilst others felt it was the ‘best part’ of the whole night. They penned:
