Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix has one of the best setups that any NFL quarterback, let alone one entering their second season, could ask for. And yet, Nix has made a commitment to push himself that is even more encouraging for the Broncos.

Nix rewrote the Broncos’ record books as a rookie. Improvements on both sides of the ball bode well for his success in Year 2.

However, Nix knows that he must continue working to take full advantage of his situation.

Bo Nix Focused on ‘Being Best QB’ He Can

“To be successful, you have to go all in on doing the little things right,” Nix said in a new advertisement for Mizzen and Main shared on X on September 1. “Finding ways to get better, being the best version of ourselves, being the best quarterback that I can be.”

Nix has done several spots for Mizzen and Main, going back to before the draft.

Nix has also drawn rave reviews for what he did last season as a rookie and his work to improve in his second season with the Broncos.

“Success off the field is all about how you treat other people,” Nix said in the ad. “Being a great person, making other people feel important, making other people feel like they have a lot of purpose in this world. In this life, you get so focused on yourself and miss out on what’s most important, and that’s the people around you. So, I want to make an impact on others and really influence them in the right way.”

Legendary QBs Drew Brees, Peyton Manning Praise Broncos’ Bo Nix

Broncos head coach Sean Payton has long been a believer in Nix. So much so that he told Drew Brees about plans to draft Nix. It was similar to how he did with Brees when Patrick Mahomes was in the 2017 draft. Then, Brees and Payton were with the New Orleans Saints.

Nix, notably, drew comparisons to Brees during the 2024 pre-draft process.

“When Sean Payton told me, ‘Hey, I really wanted Bo Nix next to or above all these other guys, I believe that. And it just happened to be that Bo fell to being the sixth quarterback taken, even though that was the 12th pick, which is a really, really high pick. And Sean Payton, sitting there going, ‘Well, I can make an argument that he was the best of the bunch,’” Brees told Rich Eisen on “The Rich Eisen Show” on August 27. “Bottom line is, I think Sean Payton got his guy, and I think we’re going to see that play out.”

Broncos icon Peyton Manning lauded Nix for being made of “the right stuff.” He also expressed joy that the 2024 No. 12 overall pick has settled the franchise’s QB quandary.

The Broncos used 12 different starting quarterbacks between Manning and Nix.

“Bo is made of the right stuff. He’s a little bit older, carries himself the right way. And all of it should help as he moves forward in his career,” Manning said, per The Denver Post’s Troy Renck on September 1. “I am just happy that Bo is the established starter. For a number of years, they had quarterback competitions. That’s hard on the receivers, the coaches, the play-caller, and the quarterback. Now, they’ve got their guy.”
