Canadian Politicians Mourn Islamophobic Hate Crime Committed Against Bondi Beach Shooter – HotAir

Was the Muslim killed as he shot down dozens of Jews at Bondi Beach, Australia, actually a victim of “Islamophobia?”

If you ask the Canadian New Democratic Party, the third-largest political party in Canada, Bondi Beach is an example of Islamophobic hate leaving a victim in its wake.

This is a memorial for those Muslims who were killed in Canada, Gaza and BONDI BEACH because of Islamaphobia.

The only Muslim person killed at the Bondi Beach Chanukkah celebration was one of the terrorists who killed dozens of Jews.

The @NDP are officially mourning the loss of a terrorist Muslim man who killed dozens of innocent Australian Jews.  This party are sick and perverted Nazis.  The NDP have officially become the

Nazi Democratic Party

No, I am not kidding.

X has been flaky today, so here is the flyer:

Also involved in this Day of Solidarity against Islamophobia is the Social Planning Council of Winnipeg, which is partially funded by the government, because of course it is.

I know little about how many lives in Canada are “lost to hate in Canada,” but I would wager it is not that many. And, of course, the “lives lost to hate” at Bondi Beach were all Jews being shot by a…Muslim who hated Jews, not the other way around.

And Gaza? I hate to tell these folks, but the whole war started because of Muslims who hated Jews decided to murder over 1200 of them. It is bizarre to argue that the issue in Gaza is Islamophobia, since the antagonist, Hamas, is explicitly genocidal against Jews. It was FOUNDED to eradicate Judaism by killing all the Jews.

Of course, by now we all know that the definition of Islamophobia is not hating Jews and wanting to kill every single one of them. Anybody who criticizes Islamic practices such as stoning women, hating and killing gays, and even mass rape of children in places like Great Britain is an Islamophobe, so we shouldn’t be surprised by the claim itself.

But the endorsement of this definition by a major political party, actually calling the terrorist who murdered 15 people a victim of Islamophobia, should still shock the conscience.

I’m pretty sure it doesn’t for a lot of Canadians, though, because the country has gone insane.

Anti-Western racism is now the norm in much of Canada. Much of the country is being handed over—literally—to indigenous tribes based on flimsy claims based on oral history. Parts of the economy are already fraying as banks are afraid to lend for projects or extend mortgages, fearing that property rights will be taken away.

Canadian courts are reinterpreting these rote confessions of historical guilt as legally enforceable admissions of wrongful possession.

In August, a British Columbia court ruled that the titles to public land across 800 acres south of downtown Vancouver must be subordinated to a new “Aboriginal title” belonging to a group of about 5,500 Indigenous Canadians.

Although the judge in question has claimed that this decision does not apply to private land, the logic of this ruling has proved so muddled that it has called into question not only the private titles of some 150 landowners in the region but also the ownership of almost every piece of private land in British Columbia—and possibly all of Canada. Some Americans may try to apply this precedent to the U.S. too.

The effects of the decision have been swift and harsh. Commercial-property values have collapsed in the city of Richmond because of uncertainty over titles. A hotel valued by its lenders at more than 110 million Canadian dollars in August traded hands for $51.5 million in October. I spoke this month with a landowner who had a major Canadian lender terminate discussions on a $35 million construction loan after the decision. At least one lease on an industrial building has been called into question because the tenant no longer knows whether the landlord still owns the premises.

Courts are literally interpreting “land acknowledgements” as admissions that property claims by people who have the title to land are invalid. Canada now spends more on Indigenous reparations and other (failed) programs than it does on national defense.

Then there is the myth that residential schools filled mass graves with indigenous children they killed through abuse. There is talk about making “denialism” of these crimes a criminal offense, despite the fact that there is literally zero evidence that any of it happened. Every claim of a mass grave has been disproven—not one body found—yet it is now part of the national mythos of Canada.

Things that literally did not happen—such as the attack on Muslims at Bondi Beach—are treated as real and evidence of how evil Westerners are. Reality takes a back seat to The Narrative™, as it so often does.

There are serious people arguing that Canada, as it exists today, may not exist in 5-10 years due to cultural suicide. I can’t speak to that—predictions are hard, especially about the future.

But it’s clear that the Canadian elite is working hard to make that so.
