Cobra Kai’s Alicia Hannah-Kim broke her silence days after her co-star Martin Kove bit her at a Washington fan convention.
The 37-year-old actress addressed the situation in an Instagram video she shared Sunday night.
Alicia called it a ‘serious incident,’ and emphasized how ‘no one wants to be attacked at work, or anywhere really,’ noting that its important to ‘stand up for yourself.’
Alicia and Martin, 78, were in the VIP section of the Washington State Summer Con in Puyallup, Washington during the incident.
Alicia reported to a police officer that Martin bit her so hard it almost drew blood, causing her to scream in pain.

She did not press charges against but did file a report with the venue as well as take photos of the bruises and bite mark.
Alicia and her husband Sebastian Roche confronted Martin about the incident, with Martin becoming ‘furious and outraged and visibly angry,’ insisting he ‘bit’ her ‘for fun.’
In the Instagram video, Alicia said: ‘I know there’s a lot going on in the world right now so I’m going to keep this brief. I was really enjoying my time at Summer Con. I love meeting you guys in real life. Thank you to Taylor who was my handler and took care of me all weekend.’
‘But as you can see, this was a serious incident. No one wants to be attacked at work, or anywhere really. And I don’t think anybody would think this is normal or warranted or acceptable,’ she continued.
I just think that when you are confronted with something like this, it’s good to stand up for yourself. It’s an important choice to make. I think it’s the good choice to make.’
Adding: ‘I think everybody could tell that it’s a great vibe and a great cast and everybody else is delightful. So I don’t want this to affect your love for the show and feel free to love on it as hard as you want. I just wanted to come on here, say thank you to everybody and just clear it up and move on.’
Alicia captioned it: ‘Thank you to everyone who has reached out to send love and support.’

Martin broke his silence over the incident in a statement via Jaffe & Company PR & Crisis Management to Deadline days earlier.
‘I deeply regret and apologize for my actions regarding the incident with Alicia [Hannah-Kim], a genuinely kind and wonderful person who didn’t deserve to be put in this position.’
‘I’ve always respected her and considered her a highly professional and talented co-worked on Cobra Kai,’ he wrote.
‘I was being playful in the moment but went too far and there is absolutely no excuse for my behavior,’ Martin continued.
‘I regret my actions for which I take full responsibility for what I did, and again I apologize to her and her husband. I’m committed to learning from his and it will never happen again.’
In the report from the incident, Martin – was previously starred as the villain in Karate Kid – was noted to have apologized in person to Hannah and her husband.
