Australian cricketer Adam Dale and his wife Nickie have sold their family home in Melbourne after listing it with a price guide of $1.65 million to $1.75 million.

The sale comes after the couple spent about a decade living at the four bedroom property in Eltham, located 20 km north-east of the CBD.

According to realestate.com.au, the home features two living areas, and a downstairs rumpus room and office.

The Dales renovated the property, creating a welcoming space that balanced private areas with family gathering spots.

Dale, who played two Test matches and 30 One Day Internationals between 1997 and 2000, was also a member of the 1999 Cricket World Cup-winning Australian team.

Besides his international cricket career, he played first-class and List A cricket for the Queensland Bulls and club cricket for several Melbourne sides.

One of his most memorable moments came in the 1997 Mercantile Mutual Cup, where his spectacular one-handed catch to dismiss NSW batter Phil Emery earned him widespread acclaim and the title of cricket’s ‘catch of the century’.

‘We love the location and the house gave everyone an opportunity to have an area for themselves, and then we could come back together as a family,’ Dale shared.

The couple decided to move to Queensland for Adam’s work in the furniture industry and to be closer to their eldest daughter and her family.

While they are sad to leave their Eltham home, the Dales look forward to this new chapter in their lives.
