Diet Coke fans have gone wild after limited edition pink cans launched in a popular UK supermarket – and it’s all for a good cause.

The popular sparkling Coca Cola drink has been rolled out by Asda as part of the Tickled Pink breast cancer awareness campaign and, unsurprisingly, the pastel pink packaging has sent social media into overdrive.

Cola fans can get their hands on the cans at Asda, both in-store and online, including through its first-ever charity TikTok Shop.

Videos of the pink cans have been flooding social media platforms including TikTok, with fans urging others to ‘run, don’t walk’ to get their hands on the aesthetically pleasing beverage.

The pink products have been created to raise awareness of the importance of breast checking during Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October.

All proceeds from the sales in store and online will go straight to Asda’s Tickled Pink charity partners, Breast Cancer Now and CoppaFeel!

Taking to social media, Diet Coke lovers who picked up boxes of 24 cans said they were ‘obsessed’ with the hot pink colour and the new design, which includes a heart in the classic Coca Cola font.

TikTok user @Milliegrims showed off her haul in the passenger seat of her car, declaring that she was ‘obsessed’, and telling her followers to ‘run to Asda’. She added: ‘And for such an amazing cause!’

Other excited fizzy drink fan was keen to find out more and asked: ‘What flavour Is it? Another added: ‘It’s normal Diet Coke I think but it’s for breast cancer awareness.’

Someone else joked: ‘I don’t even like Diet Coke but I want pink cans,’ while another person confessed: ‘I bought three bulk packs.’

Food reviewer @offthe_shelf, also took to TikTok to urge their followers to ‘run don’t walk’ to pick up the 24 pack, retailing at £11.05.

Asda has also given other popular products a pink makeover for the month of October, including Yorkshire Tea and Mr Kipling with pink packs of 160 teabags and six Viennese Whirls.

Also transformed are Nescafe cappuccino sachets, chicken Super Noodles, Candy Kittens’ Eton Mess sweets, chicken and mushroom Pot Noodles, chocolate digestives and even jars of Marmite.

Shreddies breakfast cereal, Shloer Pink Bubbly, raspberry Jammie Dodgers, Itsu’s bao buns and Fray Bentos’ steak and kidney pies have also been given a rose-coloured pop of colour.

Australian singer Kylie Minogue, who herself has battled breast cancer, gave a touching nod to the charity with a small pink heart on limited edition bottles of her rosé.

Asda has ensured that 15 per cent of the Tickled Pink product range carry a breast check message on pack.
