Whether you pine for Alex Hassell's Rupert Campbell-Black or prefer the likes of Danny Dyer's Freddie Jones (pictured left), what does your favourite Rutshire resident say about you?

Series two of raunchy TV show Rivals has proven to be a hit – as viewers have once again caught up with the salacious antics of everyone from David Tennant’s Tony Baddingham to Alex Hassell’s Rupert Campbell-Black.

But, whether you pine for those leading men or prefer the likes of Danny Dyer’s Freddie Jones, what does your favourite Rutshire resident say about you?

Speaking to the Daily Mail, psychotherapist Dr Joy Conlon of Coyne Medical has revealed which traits you’re likely to exhibit depending on the protagonist that you most resonate with.

It includes ‘nurturing’ Taggies who may end up caught in anxious attachments, and ‘ambitious’ Freddie fans, who are confident, but seek validation.

Elsewhere, those who relate to Maud O’Hara are reliable – but slow to trust others – and those who love Lizzie Verker may find themselves saying what many people are secretly thinking.

Read on to see the secret insights your Rivals ‘spirit animal’ could be revealing about you…

If Tony Baddingham is your favourite…

Dr Joy said: ‘You are likely highly achievement oriented and psychologically driven by influence, competence, and control.

‘People who identify with Tony often admire authority and strategic thinking, but may also understand the pressure that comes with constantly needing to succeed or maintain status.

‘At school, Tony was probably the student who somehow ended up running every committee, organising events, and negotiating with teachers like a junior executive.

‘In the workplace, he is the person who arrives early, knows everybody important, and quietly turns every meeting into a power play.

‘On a first date, he picks the restaurant, books the best table, and casually mentions three major achievements within the first twenty minutes.

‘At a wedding, he is the guest networking during the speeches and somehow discussing business deals beside the champagne tower.

‘People who relate to Tony are often psychologically comfortable in high performance environments and may associate success with safety, identity, or self-worth.

‘This personality style can reflect a more avoidant attachment pattern, where achievement and control become ways of managing vulnerability or uncertainty.

‘These individuals often value competence and influence highly, both in themselves and in others.

‘People drawn to Tony may recognise in themselves a strong drive for ambition, leadership, and external validation. They are often highly capable people who fear stagnation, irrelevance, or losing control more than failure itself.

‘You are probably socially magnetic, adventurous, and energised by excitement and spontaneity,’ suggested the expert.

‘People drawn to Rupert often value freedom, chemistry, humour, and charm, and may dislike emotional restriction or routine.

‘At school, Rupert was the effortlessly popular student who never seemed to study but somehow still landed on his feet. In professional life, he is the charismatic figure everyone gravitates towards at networking events, even if nobody is entirely sure what he actually does.

‘On a first date, he makes someone laugh within minutes, tells outrageous stories, and creates the feeling of instant chemistry.

‘At a wedding, he is barefoot by midnight, leading people onto the dance floor and somehow ending up in half the photographs despite not being part of the bridal party.

‘People often relate to Rupert because he embodies freedom from inhibition. He represents confidence, social ease, and emotional spontaneity, traits many people secretly wish they possessed more of.

‘Psychologically, highly charismatic personalities can create intense attraction because they make others feel emotionally alive and seen in the moment.

‘However, this personality style can also reflect an avoidant or emotionally restless attachment pattern, where charm and humour become ways of maintaining connection without becoming too emotionally exposed.

‘People drawn to Rupert may value excitement, novelty, attraction, and emotional intensity, but may also struggle with routine, emotional predictability, or deeper vulnerability in relationships.’

If Taggie is your favourite…

‘People who relate to Taggie are often emotionally intuitive and nurturing, with a strong tendency toward empathy and loyalty,’ said the psychotherapist.

‘At school, Taggie was the person comforting friends in the bathroom during friendship dramas and lending everyone notes before exams.

‘Professionally, she is often the colleague people naturally open up to because she creates emotional safety without even trying.

‘People often feel emotionally safe with characters like Taggie because she represents warmth, sincerity, and acceptance in a world often dominated by ego and status.

‘Psychologically, nurturing personalities tend to prioritise connection and emotional harmony over competition or power.

‘This personality style is often associated with anxious attachment tendencies, where caring for others can become closely linked to feeling valued or needed.’

If Maud O’Hara is your favourite…

‘People drawn to Maud often value authenticity and emotional depth over performance or attention seeking,’ insisted the expert.

‘These individuals tend to trust slowly, observe carefully, and prioritise emotional honesty.

‘People drawn to this character often value emotional intelligence, depth, calmness, and authenticity in relationships.

‘They are usually less interested in status or performance and more interested in whether someone feels emotionally real.’

If Freddie Jones is your favourite…

The psychotherapist said: ‘You are likely ambitious, resilient, and highly motivated by progress and recognition.

‘People who identify with Freddie often relate to the experience of wanting to prove themselves or rise beyond limitations.

‘Viewers sometimes relate to Freddie because he embodies upward movement and determination.

‘Many people psychologically connect with the desire to prove themselves, particularly if they have previously felt overlooked, underestimated, or excluded.

‘This personality style is often fuelled by both resilience and validation seeking.

‘People drawn to Freddie may recognise their own ambition, perseverance, and hunger for progress. They are often motivated individuals who gain confidence through achievement and external recognition.’

If Lizzie Vereker is your favourite…

Dr Joy claimed: ‘You probably value emotional intensity, creativity, and freedom. People drawn to Lizzie often feel deeply and dislike emotionally restrictive environments.

‘Psychologically, people often relate to Lizzie because she represents emotional authenticity and freedom from emotional suppression. She says what many people feel but do not express openly.

‘This personality style may reflect anxious or emotionally expressive attachment patterns, where connection, intensity, and emotional validation feel highly significant.

‘People drawn to Lizzie are often emotionally passionate, intuitive, and relationship focused, but may also struggle with impulsivity, emotional overwhelm, or inconsistency in relationships.’

If Sarah Stratton is your favourite…

‘People often relate to Sarah because she represents emotional steadiness in chaotic environments,’ said Dr Joy.

‘Psychologically, dependable personalities can create a strong sense of trust and safety for others.

‘This personality style is often associated with secure attachment, although emotionally containing individuals may sometimes suppress their own needs to maintain peace.

‘People drawn to Sarah often value emotional reliability, consistency, loyalty, and long term security in relationships.’

If Cameron Cook is your favourite…

Dr Joy said: ‘You are probably highly disciplined, ambitious, and comfortable operating in competitive environments. People drawn to Cameron often admire intelligence, composure, and self control.

‘At school, Cameron was likely academically exceptional, highly organised, and slightly intimidating during group projects.

‘On a first date, she arrives impeccably presented, asks direct questions, and assesses compatibility like an interview panel.

‘At a wedding, she is perfectly dressed, composed in every photograph, and silently judging the seating plan logistics.

‘Psychologically, people often relate to Cameron because she represents competence, discipline, and control in a world that can often feel emotionally messy or unpredictable.

‘This personality style can sometimes reflect avoidant attachment tendencies, where achievement, perfectionism, and self-sufficiency become ways of creating emotional safety.

‘People drawn to Cameron often admire ambition, structure, and independence, but may also recognise in themselves a discomfort with vulnerability or emotional unpredictability.’
