An official trailer for Donald Glover‘s upcoming film has finally arrived. Known across different artistic realms as Childish Gambino, Glover took to Instagram on Thursday, June 27, to announce the trailer for his upcoming film Bando Stone & The New World. He also showcased a pair of tickets for a special screening of A Quiet Place: Day 1. The trailer premiered just before the Quiet Place prequel, which features Lupita Nyong’o.

In this highly anticipated movie produced by RCA Records and Glover’s creative venture Gilga, Glover takes on the role of artist Bando Stone navigating an apocalyptic world. Alongside him is English actress Jessica Allain. The eerie trailer showcases Glover wandering through a seemingly deserted town.

Fans witness Allain’s character joining forces with Bando Stone and a young girl to navigate their new perilous reality. The trio’s journey involves surviving against monsters, dinosaurs, and sci-fi lasers—a setup stoking much curiosity among viewers.
As of now, the movie’s release date remains undisclosed. Despite this, a visual recording of the trailer has surfaced online, keeping fans eagerly engaged.

Leading up to the trailer’s release, various reports indicated that Glover might unveil a project titled Lithonia next week. This speculation stemmed from a streaming service post displaying the project’s title and intended date before it was hastily removed, though not before screenshots were taken.

Glover further elaborated during an Instagram Live session where he indicated that Lithonia is a song setting the stage for his soundtrack. Plans are underway for an accompanying album tied into his final project as Childish Gambino—a decision he revealed during an April episode of GILGA Radio.
“Over the weekend, Glover posted an Imax ticket stub for A Quiet Place: Day One on his Instagram and revealed that the trailer for Bando Stone & the New World would air before that movie.”
Recently released is his album Atavista, a refreshed edition of his previous LP 3.15.20 from the pandemic period. Moreover, he has disclosed dates for an upcoming world tour.
