Bedazzled came at the peak or Liz’s movie career, following Austin Powers, with critics praising her role as the Devil in the remake of the 1967 British film
Breaking Bear sees Liz and Brendan reunited vocally on screen but fans, and Liz, have long called for a Bedazzled reboot.
During a 2022 interview Brendan declared ‘the answer is always a yes’ when asked about Liz’s plea for a sequel.
‘She’s a delight. She’s so funny, she’s a friend, and I think that she’s a talented, talented person with a lot more left in her to offer,’ he gushed.
Brendan has enjoyed a career resurgence over the past three years, with Liz publicly supporting his comeback by attending screenings of his Oscar-nominated movie The Whale three years ago.
The Whale marked the actor’s first Hollywood project in almost ten years and his first lead role in a movie since straight-to-DVD thriller Breakout in 2013.
The actor shot to stardom when he was cast in children’s favourite film franchises George of the Jungle and The Mummy.
His chiselled physique earnt him a position as a Hollywood heartthrob as he thrashed around the sets performing stunts in high-action roles.
But Brendan revealed in a later interview the toll the stunts had taken on his body, and he was in and out of hospital for surgeries for seven years.

Alongside his physical injuries, Brendan also revealed in a 2018 GQ interview that he believed he had been blacklisted from Hollywood after he claimed he had been sexually assaulted by the former president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, Philip Berk, in 2003.
Three years on from The Whale, Brendan has a number of major projects in the works, after recently wrapping on Searchlight’s Rental Family, where he plays an actor whose career is floundering, leading him to accept a gig as the stock American in a Tokyo rental family company.
He will also play Supreme Allied Commander Dwight D. Eisenhower in war film Pressure alongside Andrew Scott.
While he has also boarded mystery thriller Assassination – focused on the JFK conspiracy – opposite huge stars, Jessica Chastain, Bryan Cranston and Al Pacino.
