EU Doubles Down on Censorship – HotAir

The war over censorship between the United States and Europe is still going strong.

Europe and the UK have dug in their heels on the issue and are even expanding their powers, as the United States keeps increasing the pressure to pull back from their fascistic efforts to silence all dissent from the transnationalist agenda.

In response to criticism from America and an increasing number of Europeans, they are doubling down on their policies and becoming increasingly secretive about their moves. They are closing the doors on their meetings and making their communications even more secretive. It’s gotten to the point that the censors are making it impossible to discuss what they are doing, at least outside the anodyne statements they make about how they are keeping Europeans safe from “hate speech.”

I’ve covered this issue extensively, and I could write about the issue daily. As a practical matter, in Great Britain, the target is mostly discussion of Christianity, prayers, and anything that resembles criticism of Islam or Muslims.

In continental Europe, the breadth is much wider, protecting politicians, suppressing opposition politicians, and making election interference against nationalist politicians easier. Promoting Islamism is still a key goal, of course, but destroying political parties like the AfD and direct interference in Eastern European elections is as important to the transnational elite.

The EU’s DSA has taken aim at X in particular, threatening massive fines for allowing speech even in foreign countries like the US (the Biden administration worked with European countries to identify Americans who should be censored), and the UK’s “independent” Center for Countering Digital Hate made destroying X its top priority.

They aren’t backing down, even under pressure from the Trump administration. Instead, they have made censorship a pillar of their political strategy.

And with good reason. The transnationalist agenda is in deep political trouble on the continent, and the elites have lost control over The Narrative. That is why there are daily raids on dissenters, putting people in jail for disapproved speech and the seizure of electronic devices that can be used to speak freely.

The hoax industrial complex, upon which The Narrative is built, is eroding due to the ability of people who are interested in seeing reality for themselves. The hoaxes are, of course, one of the pillars of the Narrative™ building, but eliminating disapproved speech is another.

Elites around the world still place censorship as a key element of their efforts to transform society using totalitarian means, and there is no indication that they intend to stop.

Vance and Rubio have made fighting censorship one of the pillars of American policy. There’s no indication that the battle will end any time soon.

Editor’s note: If we thought our job in pushing back against the Academia/media/Democrat censorship complex was over with the election, think again. This is going to be a long fight.
