“Euphoria” star Barbie Ferreira looked unrecognizable as she flaunted her new figure at the Academy Women’s Luncheon in Los Angeles.
The actress’s dramatic weight loss was put on full display as she posed on the red carpet at the star-studded event on Tuesday.
The HBO star, 28, turned heads in a hip-hugging pink mini dress with ruching down the center and frills along the hem and sleeves.
She completed the look with embellished black heels, a pink manicure and burgundy lip color.
The “Nope” star also styled her brunette hair in soft, natural waves around her face.
Ferreira first showed signs of weight loss in 2024 when she shocked fans with photos of her slimmed-down frame.
Her body transformation stirred speculation that she had turned to Ozempic, or a similar weight loss drug, to achieve her results. However, she has yet to address the theories.
Ferreira’s weight loss has continued, and she showed off her fit frame while walking in the 2025 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in October.
She strutted down the catwalk in a red bra and matching underwear layered under an oversized jean jacket adorned with mini denim angel wings.
“what a crazy side quest. got to be an angel for the day 🪽 thank u @adamselman @vspink @victoriassecret,” she wrote on Instagram at the time, along with photos from the experience.
Last week, she showed off her legs in a “Black Swan” costume while celebrating Halloween.
“Happy Halloween from the swans 🦢,” she wrote on Instagram on Oct. 31 while wearing a white tutu and feathers on her head.
The model has been a longtime advocate for body positivity. In 2023, Ferreira admitted that she quit her role on “Euphoria” because she was tired of playing the “fat best friend.”
“I don’t think there was a place for her to go,” she said of her character, Kat Hernandez, in an interview on Dax Shepard’s “Armchair Expert” podcast at the time.
“I think there were places she could have gone. I just don’t think it would have fit into the show. I don’t know if it was going to do her justice, and I think both parties knew that I really wanted to be able to not be the fat best friend,” she continued. “I don’t want to play that, and I think they didn’t want that either.”
Ferreira shared that it was a “mutual decision” between her and the series’ creator, Sam Levinson, for her to part ways with the show.
She also believes Levinson did not relate to Kat’s character in his real life.
“Sam writes, for like, things that he relates to. I don’t think he relates to Kat,” she said. “I like Kat, so I get to go on my own path. At first, I was like, Oh my God, I’m a flop. I’m a loser. It really has been a good thing.”
