It turns out that the perfect cleaning solution can actually be found in your beauty drawer, according to home experts.
TikTok user Leanne, who goes by the username @homewithleanne, recently revealed in a video that you can get your mirrors sparkling clean by just putting some shaving cream on them.
‘Clean your mirrors with shaving cream,’ Leanne, who is based in Australia, said in the video as she smeared her bathroom mirror with the product and a rag.
‘It also acts as an anti-fog agent,’ she claimed.

Per The Spruce, shaving cream contains a lot of the same ingredients that regular bar soap does.
This includes things like emulsifiers and other cleaning agents, the outlet explained.
It can even be used as a replacement for hand soap in a pinch.
And, according to Apartment Therapy, cleaning your mirrors with shaving cream really does work.
Their author, Laura Wheatman Hill, put the trick to the test as she tried to clean up some smeared toothpaste that was on the mirror.
Using some Barbasol shaving cream and a dry microfiber cloth just like Leanne, Hill said the toothpaste came right off in just two swipes.
Hill admitted in her review that her mirror ‘has never looked cleaner,’ and that the shaving cream helped to create a ‘streak-free shine.’
However, the author admitted that the shaving cream didn’t exactly act as an anti-fog agent like Leanne had promised.

But Leanne isn’t the only creator who has a different idea for shaving cream.
In August, content creator Mila Jaye, also known as Vanilla Swirl on TikTok, revealed how you can take old conditioner you may not like and use it as shaving cream instead.
She said you can use conditioner in place of shaving cream to shave your legs.
Jaye explained that she also uses conditioner in the laundry when trying to stretch out any clothes that may have shrunk.
