Russell Crowe proved he still is on very good terms with his ex-wife as they reunited for a music gig at Sydney's Enmore Theatre

He split from his ex Danielle Spencer way back in 2012.

But on Sunday, Russell Crowe proved he is still is on very good terms with his ex-wife as they reunited for a music gig at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre.

The 56-year-old actress appeared as a ‘guest performer’ as part of a one-off show which was headlined by Russell’s band, Indoor Garden Party.

Wowing concertgoers in a lacy black long-sleeve top and trousers, Danielle performed a solo set to promote her new single Regenerate.

She styled her blonde curls with silver and diamanté pins.

For a touch of added drama, the pop singer wore a mask of stars and sparkles under her eyes.

Later, Russell, 61, hit the stage as frontman for his group .

With his greying hair slicked back, the Oscar-winner wore a dark suit for the show, which he paired with a satin shirt.

During the gospel-and rock-inspired set, the Beautiful Mind star took the lead on vocals and guitar.

The lineup also featured US singer Brake, Australian country star Troy Cassar-Daley, industry icon Marcia Hines, and Irish performer Lorraine O’Reill.

This comes after Danielle recently spoke about the guilt she felt following her 2018 divorce from Russell Crowe.

The actress and musician opened up about her high-profile split from the star after 15 years on the Stellar podcast Something To Talk About earlier this month.

‘It’s really sad breaking up with somebody that you’ve known for so long, that you’ve had children with,’ the 56-year-old confessed to podcast host Sarrah Le Marquand.

‘Me kind of breaking up the family – and it felt very much like I was driving that – so I had to deal with my almost sense of guilt that I was fracturing the family, but obviously I did it for a number of reasons and I wouldn’t have done it if I didn’t think it needed to happen.’

Danielle added that although she and Russell now enjoy a strong friendship while co-parenting their sons Charlie, 22, and Tennyson, 19, the journey after divorce wasn’t without its challenges.

In September, the pair announced they would be reuniting for Saturday’s show.

She shared that music was the bond that first brought them together, and they often performed when their sons were young.

Revisiting that musical bond for this performance has been an emotional and nostalgic experience for Danielle.
