A group of friends thought it would be funny to surprise a bride-to-be by getting all of her ex-boyfriends to share a message for her ahead of the wedding… but the move has come under fierce fire online.

Social media star Monica San Luis, 28, jetted off to Paris, France, with her closest pals to celebrate her upcoming nuptials to fiancé Dayson Watanabe recently.

But when she shared a clip of the surprise her friends had planned for her, it did not go over well with viewers.

It turns out, her friends had gotten all of her past flames to record videos and they put them all together and played it at the bachelorette party.

But many people felt it was inappropriate to involve her former lovers in her wedding festivities.

The now-viral video didn’t show the actual montage but instead, it showed San Luis’s reaction to the surprise.

She sat in a pair of white fluffy pajamas surrounded by her pals as she watched it.

She opened her mouth wide in surprise before grabbing the friend closer to her and at one point, she even fell off the couch she was so shocked.

‘When your besties you at your bachelorette with a video of all your exes wishing you and your fiancé the best,’ a text overlay read.

And while it seemed like San Luis was ultimately amused by the surprise, social media users rushed to the comment section to slam it.

‘Yeah, naw everyone involved would be kicked out the wedding. This is weird,’ one person wrote.

‘Not going to lie if my fiancé did this I’m calling the wedding off and blocking all his friends,’ announced another.

‘No this would be my worst nightmare,’ someone else agreed.

‘Sorry this is a hard pass,’ read a fourth comment, while a fifth said, ‘I’d need therapy.’

‘This would piss me off,’ a different user chimed in.

‘I would be traumatized,’ stated someone else, while another penned, ‘If my friends did this I’d cry.’

While speaking about it to Newsweek, San Luis made it clear she thoroughly enjoyed the montage.

‘I thought it was the funniest thing in the world,’ she said.

She added that since she and her fiancé had been together for over a decade there were definitely no worries that seeing her exes’ videos might stir up any feelings.

‘[All my past relationships] were from middle school and early high school,’ she added.

‘We are all still close friends, and two of them are even my fiancé’s groomsmen, so the whole thing was just harmless and hilarious.’
