The Bachelor host Osher Günsberg says Grace Tame’s infamous side-eye at Scott Morrison should be on the $5 note instead of King Charles III

Osher Günsberg has offered his two cents on who should feature on Australia’s $5 note following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

The Channel 10 presenter, 48, jokingly suggested on Sunday that Grace Tame doing her infamous side-eye at former prime minister Scott Morrison earlier this year should be immortalised on the nation’s currency.

He posted a mock-up on Facebook of what such a note would look like, alongside several other fan-made suggestions including Bon Scott from AC/DC and the character Kath Day-Knight from the ABC sitcom Kath & Kim.

‘I for one would welcome a double-sided [Tame and Scott]. You?’ he wrote.

Ms Tame, 27, made headlines in January for her grim-faced handshake with Mr Morrison at The Lodge in Canberra where she refused to even make eye contact with him.

She later gave a simple four-word reason for her infamously frosty face-to-face confrontation with the former PM: ‘I act with integrity.’

The activist revealed at the National Press Club in February she had been asked not to embarrass Mr Morrison at the morning tea for the 2022 Australia of the Year finalists.

She claimed to have been phoned five months earlier by ‘a senior member of a government-funded agency’ and asked not to say anything damning at the event.

When she was quizzed after her powerful speech, she refused to elaborate on whether that was the reason for her withering side-eye of the PM.

Ms Tame replied: ‘My answer to your question is that I act with integrity. That’s it.’

The former Australian of the Year is not the only name to be put forward as the potential new face of the $5 bill.

Some Aussies are calling for late national icon Steve Irwin to be impressed on the note instead of King Charles III in the wake of Queen Elizabeth II’s death.

Her Royal Highness died aged 96 on September 8, sparking a wave of mourning worldwide as Commonwealth nations honour Britain’s longest-serving monarch.

Her death after 70 years on the throne heralds a raft of changes that will come into place in Australia, including the introduction of bank notes and coins bearing the new king’s face.

But some Aussies have flocked online to demand other famous Australians instead be memorialised on the country’s legal tender when the printing press kicks into gear.

Along with Steve and Ms Tame, other names suggested were Heath Ledger and Russel Coight alongside television characters Alf Stewart and Kath & Kim.
